Spring is here, if you live in Canada like me I wouldn't call the weather we have been having spring lol but none the less it is April and that is the month when Spring starts. Last month I came across a DIY for a Vintage Flower Box and this gave me ideas to create my own flower box. I went on Pinterest to look up some images and I got tons of ideas that I decided to make two one is a Vintage Flower box inspired by this blog post that I read and then the other is a wooden box that I bought from the Dollar Store and fixed up.

Halloween Aaliyah Makeup Look PLUS Super Easy DIY Rhinestone Choker
So Halloween is next week and I know people have been going out this Friday and Saturday to celebrate but I'm sure there will be more celebrations on Sunday and the actual day of Halloween. This year I have noticed a trend a lot of people are dressing up as celebs, I've also seen couples dressed as Cardi B/Offset and Justin/Britney. Even celebs are dressing up as other celebs. Like Demi Lovato dressed as Selena and Kim Kidashian dressed as Cher, Madonna and Aaliyah.
I have done a Aaliyah look once before from her video Are You That Somebody but I have always wanted to this look from Try Again because it's one of my favorite videos and songs from her. I remember watching this on Much Music and BET and singing along.
Not only I'm I going to show you this look that I create but I'm also going to make the easiest DIY choker ever!! It's super easy and took me less then 10 minutes.

DIY DYE A BOOK BY LAOREN LANKFORD
disclaimer: products or product shown in this post has been provided by the said brand for review and/or use
Hey today I have a blog post on a book called DIY DYE Bright & Funky Temporary Hair Coloring You Do At Home. As you can guess from the tile this book is all about dying your hair, yourself!
In this book there are 3 main parts: Get Ready, The Dyes and DIY Style. Get Ready talks about the steps you need to know before you jump into dying your hair, this part also talks about bleaching your hair and what to expect when dyeing your hair different colours. The Dyes section of this book mention different dyeing techniques like how to bleach hair, hair chalking, how to dye hair with Kool Aid (YUP you can dye your hair with Kool Aid) and much more techniques. What is most interesting to me is the Henna section because I want to try Lush Cosmetics Henna Bar and this help me to better understand how Henna works. The last section of this book is the DIY Style which is all about the different styles in which you can dye your hair for example ombre and tip dye.
Overall this is a good book if your looking for new and safer ways to dye your hair and also a great book to read if you have never dye your hair before and you want to.

Guest Post DIY Coconut Body Scrub
Today I have a guest post by Michelle Pino, I hope you will enjoy this DIY and I myself will be giving this a try!
Make Your Own Coconut Coffee Body Scrub Just in Time for Spring
If you are extra busy with kids because you’re running them to spring-time recitals, soccer practice and little league, you may not have much of a chance to take time off for a spa day. Many moms can relate to how haggard a mom can feel just after one afternoon of looking after one or two children. Children are always on the go and a mom’s job is never finished – she just repeats all the same tasks the following day!
Winter may be over but its effects tend to linger for a while. Nothing reminds us of winter quite like dry skin. Finding the time or money to go to a beauty club to get pampered for an afternoon, but you can still enjoy high-quality, skin-refining and hydrating beauty products for a fraction of a cost of spa products! By making your own homemade beauty treatments at home, you can find numerous ways to exfoliate your skin and bring your skin back to life with radiance!
Try out this mesmerizing coffee scrub that leaves your skin feeling satiny smooth and supple. With just a few ingredients, you can create this scrub that can be used three to four times a week to bring back a glow and a youthful appearance to your body.
What you need
1 cup of coconut oil
1/cup of fresh ground coffee
¼ cup of brown sugar
3 Tbsp. of honey
This is an easy mixture to combine. Simply mix it by hand until ingredients are blended and then store in a safe container. You can decorate the container by using a hot glue gun to put rustic-looking baling twine around the jar and then tying a ribbon at the top of the jar. This is an affordable and fun way to make your homemade body scrub look like a high-end retail scrub!
Use Your Coconut Coffee Body Scrub in the Shower
This rejuvenating body scrub will scrub away dead skin cells while deeply moisturizing your skin at the same time. On top of feeling amazing when you use this easy DIY body scrub, you will also love the way it smells!
You can use it in the shower three to four times a week by applying some to a body sponge and then massaging over your entire body. It is fine to use on the face, feet, and any other part of your body! When you step out of the shower, you will feel like a new creature, and you will be ready to put on your favorite spring time dress to show off your radiant and youthful new skin!

DIY - Dip Dye Hair
I think this look is so hot and if I could I would so rock dip dye hair, it's so fun you can go bold with colour or you can make this look more natural with going a few tones lighter then your hair colour. The only reason I wouldn't do this because I don't want to dye my hair because I'm worried about damage to it, but if I ever get extension I would love to try this look on them.
WHAT YOU NEED
Hair Bleach (unless you have light blond hair)
Developer
Hair Dye Brush
Plastic Bowl
Plastic Bowl
Gloves
Colour Dye
(if you don't know what colour dye to get you can get light purple which looks good on anyone)
PART 1
Put Gloves on. Follow instructions on bleach. Mix bleach with developer until you get an icy like consistency. Take a thick piece of hair maybe the size of 3 fingers and apply bleach carefully to the part you want to dye. Feather it out at the top if this is the type of look you want. Wrap that piece of hair in foil. Heat ends with a blow dryer for a few minutes. Make sure ends are fully bleached then remove the foil and rinse your ends.
PART 2
Now get your semi permanent dye and put a large amount into cleaned bowel. Apply the dye to your hair in generous amounts. Now take foil and wrap ends, and blow dry your hair again. Make sure you check the instruction to see how long you should keep the dye in for. Once hair has cooled, you may rinse your ends with conditioner.

DIY - Make Your Own Bracelets
Hey, everyone today's post is on a cool DIY I got from http://fashion.onblog.at/en/diy-advent-17-beautiful-recycling-barcelets-from-plastic-bottles on how to make your own bracelets with recycled water bottles.
What you will need
1. Water Bottle
2. Glue Gun
3. Tape
4. Fabric
5. Exacto Knife
Get your tape and wrap it around the water bottle once.
Then cut around the water bottle on both sides.
Then try on your bracelet it its too small your going to resize it. To resize the bracelet cute down the middle.
Open the bracelet until its the right size to fit your wrist, and apply tape to the opening as well as the inside.
Next cut your fabric about the length of your arm and 5 fingers wide.
Next take your glue gun and place glue at the edges and fold over like in the pictures above.
Next glue the edge of the fabric and place it on the inside of the bracelet. Keep edges folded as you wrap the fabric around the bracelet. Like this
Now if you want to, you can apply a bit of glue to help keep everything tight as your wrapping the fabric around the bracelet.
When you get to the end fold your fabric so it looks like this. If you have alot of fabric left over your going to cut a bit of it off
Next step is to apply glue to the edge and fold over, then apply glue again to the edge and glue your fabric to the inside of your bracelet. Once you have done that your done!
And your bracelet should look like this......

DIY - Update Your Handbag
Here is my first DIY that was featured on http://www.socialitedreams.com/blog-posts/whats-old-is-new-again-budget-fashionista-diy-handbag.html a few weeks ago. Hope you enjoy and coming up later this week DIY - Make Your Own Bracelets.
Have a bag that you stop wearing and it's just sitting around collecting dust? Are you about ready to though it away? Well don't, just update it with a new look. In my first DIY I'm going to show you how to add chains to your bag to give it a new look. Update your bag in a few minutes with these few steps.
Have a bag that you stop wearing and it's just sitting around collecting dust? Are you about ready to though it away? Well don't, just update it with a new look. In my first DIY I'm going to show you how to add chains to your bag to give it a new look. Update your bag in a few minutes with these few steps.
What you will need
1. A Bag
2. Chain
3. Thread
4. Needle
5. Scissors
Get a chain for any old necklace that you have laying about that you don't wear anymore, or buy a cheap chain from a store like Claire's. Also make sure you get a multi chain so that there will be a layer of chains for your bag. My chain came with a safety pin so try and get a chain that has one, if you can't find a chain that as a safety pin that's ok. Or you can just by a safety pin that matches your chain.
Next take your safety pin, if you bought a safety pin at this point you just simple attach it to the chain and pin it onto one of the straps on your bag, make sure your pining it to the front of the bag. If you don't have a safety pin skip over this and we will came back to this part at the end.
Next your going to take your scissors and cut off the part of the chain that looks like this. See pictures below to make sure you cut the right part.
Now take the loop from the first layer of your chain and tuck it into the straps of you bag.
Then take your needle that is threaded and start to sew. Like in my picture when you start make sure the needle is coming up, (this is so that the knot we made at the end of the thread will not show) and pull until you get to the end of the thread, its going to be like your making a loop.
Next take the last chain on the necklace and put the needle throw one of the chain loops, tuck the loop of the chain under the strap of the bag like you did before, and sew once again make sure your needle is always coming up and not going down when your sewing.
Now that your almost finished on the side that you sewed the chain onto the straps of the bag it should look like this up close. If you did a good job with your hand sewing and use dark thread or thread that matches your bag if you bag is not black you should not notice the sewing from normal view of your bag.
Next take you needle and push it throw the strap, your pushing the needle throw the back for the strap this is so that the knot will be not be seen, make a knot 1- 3 times and cut.
Know for people who couldn't get a chain that had a pin, do these same steps to the other side of your bag with the other end of the chain.
Once you have done that...

Its time you enjoy your "new" bag :)
Now if you want to add more go ahead and have fun or if you want to add some studs, all you need its studs a glue gun and have fun!
