Guest Post - 5 Beauty Tips for Athletes

This article was contributed to by Anthony Jones who also writes for Sports Management Colleges which helps those looking for a career in professional sports.

You don't have to be a traditional girly-girl to want to look your best.  But if sports and sweats are part of your daily life, it can be difficult to balance them out.  To that end, we thought now would be a good time to go over some beauty tips just for you athletic types.

1. No makeup while playing – It may make you look fabulous but wearing makeup to an event you know you're going to sweat in can do more harm than good. Certain makeup, like foundation, turns for the worse when coming into contact with sweat.  This can lead to acne and even premature aging.  So if you're about to sweat, take your makeup off before you do.
2. Sunblock – If you are taking part in an outdoor activity, it can be easy to forget all about the sun.  However, all those hours spent outside can really add up when it comes to skin damage.  Be sure and use a sunblock, especially on your face and hands, to protect yourself.  There are even sunblocks made for sports that can spray on easily and are sweat resistant.
3. Clean it right – Because athletes sweat so much, they often shower a lot.  But did you know that many shampoos, soaps, and such are not meant to be used  more than once a day?  Use gentle or sensitive skin products when showering to make sure you don't do any damage when cleansing.
4. Moisturize – Many sports can be tough on both your hands, feet, and everywhere in between.  Grab some moisturizer and apply it right after your shower to keep from cracking, peeling, callousing, and more.
5. Burn while you play – Everyone knows sports are a great way to stay fit.  But did you know there are a few extras you can do while playing during down time?  For example, softball players often run laps or do push ups while in the dugout to both stay fit and keep their energy up during the game.

L'oreal Gentle Makeup Remover Review

L'oreal Waterproof Gentle Makeup Remover
What the bottle says: Waterproof eyes and lips makeup remover, non greasy, removes long lasting makeup and very gentle.

What I think: First I'm just going to say I don't agree that this product is non greasy because at time when I remove my eye makeup it does leave my skin feeling a bit greasy which I don't like but this product it gentle I do agree with that. It takes of your makeup off very easily so your not tugging at your skin. But I do have to say that I have to work a bit to get of makeup around my lash lines and if this products gets into your eyes it sting alot. I do wish that this came in a bigger bottle for people that would use this everyday so it would last longer, but I myself don't normally wear alot of makeup everyday so I don't use this everyday. For me it last awhile but for other it maybe not.

Would I buy this again: Yes I would as this is my second time buying this product :)

Drug Store/MAC Haul And Review

Products
Maybelline Color Tattoo (Too Cool)
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 30 (Cafe)
Revlon Photoready Airbrush 080 (Caramel)
MAC Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner
MAC Viva Glam Lipstick Nicki

I bought Color Tattoo because I saw a lot of bloggers doing reviews on these cream shadows and I wanted to see for myself what all the hype was about. Too Cool is a shimmery white colour it is a bit sheer and I bought it with the intention of mostly using it as a base for some of my light shadows, so hopefully it will bring of the colour a bit more. But as a cream eye shadow I can't really decided if I like this or not I've only used it once and I don't hate it, it did last for a long time and I like how it has shimmer to it.

Would I buy this again? I'm not to sure that I would but maybe as I use it more I may find that I want to try other colours.

This was a nice switch from my Nars concealer which is a cream concealer. I like that it comes in a tube like lip gloss and the wand makes it easy to apply. I don't have anything bad to say about this product. I think this performs very well and I'm in love with this.
Would I buy this again? YES.

For me I really like this, but I have seen a few YouTube channels were people don't like it but I really do enjoy this product. I love the fact that this is a mousse, which is the reason why I wanted to try this product out and I also like that this foundation photographs well which is a another reason why I wanted to try this product. A little side note if your a Caramel in Color Stay, the Caramel in Photoready is actually lighter. This shade of brown in Photoready is the darkest they offer right now.
Would I buy this again? YES, I like this better then my Fit Me 320 foundation.

Swatches

The lip conditioner is my favourite purchase out of this haul, since I have got it I pretty much wear it everyday. I'm thinking about buying another one before it's sold out. Like other lip products that condition your lips this one is different. First of all I like how this comes in a tube, it doesn't have the burning feeling that most lip balm's have and its not sticky. Viva Glam's lip conditioner is kind of like Vaseline but its not greasy and last longer.
The latest Viva Glam Lipstick I don't have a whole lot to say but that the lipstick does appear to be a bit coral but when you apply the lipstick its a bright pink. I think this colour is so cute and it reminds my of Bubble Gum another lipstick of MAC.
Would I buy these products again? Yes I would by the lip conditioner again, but I would not buy the lipstick again only because I don't see myself using it a whole lot.
