Glamour Doll Eyes Control Freak Vegan Primer Review

I have been testing out this primer ever since I got it and you may have seen it listed in a few of my blog post, I'm finally ready to share with you all my feelings on this product.

About The Product
Glamour Doll Eyes has two types of primers one is there regular primer which is not vegan and it's a pink tone primer and because it has bee wax and carmine in it it's not vegan. The vegan primer has a brown tone to it. Both primers are handmade so colour, texture and apperance may very from batch to batch.

Review
First I just want to say that I'm not vegan but the reason why I did purchase the vegan primer over the non vegan primer is because I liked that it matched my skin tone. With that being said this primer does match my skin tone in the pan but when it is applied for me it appears clear there is no colour too it when it was smoothed out. Looking at the primer with I first got it I thought it would be a creamy texture but this is actually greasy or oily texture too it. First time I used it I applied to much and it did crease. When using this I realized that you only need a small amount and that goes a long way. I tested this out on two types of shadow matte pan shadows and loose shadows from Glamour Doll Eyes. For me when I used it with my matte pan shadows I don't think the colour really came across to great but the shadows did last long thoughout my day and i found that they did crease by the end of my day. However I find that this primer works best with loose shadows I think because the primer is oily it helps loose shadows to stick a bit better to the primer when a cream primer might. I haven't tested this out on pan shadows that are shimmery so I can't comment on how they work with this primer. Overall this primer made my shadows last long and ther was only a bit of creasing which happend close to the end of the day with that being said I like the price of this primer which is uder 15 dollars I might buy this again I may not it really depends what I feel when I'm low on primer and which products I may want to give a try next.

Price
Control Freak Non Vegan/Vegan (.39 oz) $10.75 US

Tutorial
First apply your choice of face products. I'm using Dream Fresh BB and Maybelline concealer in 30.

Next with black eyeshadow fill in your brows, make the dark.

Next your going to add lines to your face, like as if you were a cartoon drawing. I'm using Blitz & Glitz by MAC Add a line to separate your hair and forehead. Next go around the ears and jawline. Also draw a line down the curve of your nose and just above your lips and also at the curve of your chin.

Next taking the black liner outline your lips. Next your going to fill in your lips with a red lip colour. As comic books colours are simple and matte, don't use a colour that has any shimmer or shine. I'm only using the lip colour from Aqua Rouge and I'm going to draw a space were I will not fill in with any red.

Once you have filled in your lips, using white liner pencil fill in the space that was left unfilled.

Next using purple eyeshadow or any matte eyeshadow you want, your going to apply that to your lids and just above your crease.

Next outline your lash line and above your crease.

Next apply its time to apply lashes. I'm using Red Cherry 213 lashes. I also curled my lashes once they were on and applied mascara as well.

To draw on the tears you will need gel or liquid liner. First step taking your white liner, line you water line and your lash line. Next using the gel liner draw on your tears. With blue eye shadow your doing to fill in your tears.

One you have filled in the tears with blue eye shadow your going to line the start of the tears with black liner to finish it off. Also at the end of the tears you will add little with dots with your white liner, almost like what you did for the lips and last add mascara to your bottom lashes.
(I forgot to take a picture of this) now your done with the eyes.

Last is adding the dots you can use face paint for this if you have but because I don't I used red eye shadow and a q-tip to apply the red dots.

Hope you enjoyed this Halloween look!

Glamour Doll Eyes Swatches/Review Part 1

Recently I purchased a lot of eye shadows from Glamour Doll Eyes, I'm going to be doing this review in 2 or 3 parts.
Here is a bit of information on the company from the Glamour Doll Eyes website "Glamour Doll is an eye shadow company that strives to bring you fashionable and unique colors to strut your stuff! Our eye shadows are great for any age! All of our ingredients are made from earth minerals. The main ingredients we use are Magnesium Stearate, Zinc Oxide, Kaolin Clay and Methicone Treated Titanium Dioxide. All of the colors we use in our eyeshadow s are FDA approved for eyeshadow use."

In my first order the shadows that I got were Sparkler, Boyfriend Sweater, Bare Naked, Victorian, Soul Sister, Dusk and Grease Lightning.

Review
Sparkler is a soft pink, very pigmented, beautiful colour with a bit of an orange undertone.

Boyfriend Sweater is a soft brown, shimmery colour. Great colour I think for everyday wear.

Bare Naked is a pigmented beige colour. Bare Naked is also vegan.

Victorian is like a plum colour, with beautiful after sheen of fuchsia. This one is my favorite colour from all of these shadows in this post.

Soul Sister is one of my favourite eye shadows over all its a great highlight tan colour with purple and blue sparkles.

Dusk is a dark blue colour with bit of sparkle. Dusk is also vegan.

Grease Lightning is a metallic gold/green colour. Grease Lightning is also vegan.

Overall I love these shadows they are so beautiful and there is not one colour that I purchased that I didn't like. Even the sample colours I got with my purchase are great. The prices are also amazing and affordable. I'm not really a fan of loose eye shadow but so far with these I have been using them a lot and I just love them. I also like the fact that I got 2 free samples which was great. With my purchase I also received a few business cards, glamour doll stickers, a coupon code, a card with there best sellers and a brochure with information on what is new with the company, tutorial and more.

First step primer your eye lids and lower lash line with primer. I used Glamour Doll Eyes Control Freak.

Above your crease apply Glamour Doll Eyes Southern Lace with a blending brush.

Next with June Bug apply it with a blending brush to the same area that you applied Southern Lace.

With a flat brush apply Calypso to your whole lid.

Next using a blending brush take Super Nova and blend that into your crease, outer v and just above your crease. Now take a bit of June Bug and blend that above your crease.

Next with a small flat brush or a liner brush I used a liner brush, line your lower lash line with Nymphette.

Next is to highlight your brow bone. I used Soul Sister which is tan and blends into the skin well. Apply that to your brown bone using a blending brush and make sure to also blend out the shadow that is above your crease.

Next clean up any all out from the eyeshadow with concealer I using
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 30 and set that with powder I'm using Ben Nye Banana Powder.

Now liner your upper lash line with liner I'm using gel liner and with a pencil liner line your water line.

Next it time to curl your lashes and apply your mascara. If you want you can stop here but I decide to add lashes the lashes that I'm using are 213 Red Cherry.
