Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder Review

Recently I was watching one of my favorite youtuber's and she used a product called Ben Nye Banana Powder which sparked my intrested when she said the kardashians makeup artist use it on them. I knew I wanted to try this out and I found some great reviews and the best part this product is under 10 dollars.

About The Product
From Camera Ready Cosmetics "Formerly known as Visage Poudre Luxury Powders, these ultra-neutral powders provide superior matte and subtle finishing. Often compared to French powders with silky-fine textures. the Ben Nye Bella line of powders are translucent with just a hint of color."

Review
Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder is a translucent powder used to set makeup and control shine. I like that unlike white translucent powders this one doesn't get a powdery cast off on your face. This can be used on tan skin tones to dark. This can also be used on even ligther skin tones but Ben Nye also offers more colour chioces but for me I think this one is perfect for my tone and I've seen reviews mostly on this shade so I don't know how the other shades work. The banana powder adds a nice glow to your skin, while setting your makeup but it doesn't change the colour of your makeup. Most reviews I've seen use this banana powder to set there concerlor but I like to use it on my whole face since I have oily skin. I have noticed that with using this my skin is not as oily at the end of the day, the only place that I still get some shine would have to be my nose, but that would be that i'm not putting enough powder on my nose. As well this porduct blends nicely into my skin.

The only problem with this is how you get the product out it can be a bit messy I only wish that the lid was more like Make Up Forever HD Powders lid. Beside this I have no other problem with this product.

Price
I bought mine from camerareadycosmetices.
$8.50US 1.5oz this is the size I bought
$12.89US 3oz
$23.89US 8oz

Review

Powder Brush is super soft. I just love running my fingers in the bristles its just so soft. From a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most softest I would rate the softness a 10! Even after I washed the brush it still kept it's softness and shape. No bristles came out when I first used it and none came out when washing the brush. I like the design of the brush and that it can stand.  I also like that this brush is very affordable, I think its a great brush to also have in your professional kit, if your a makeup artist.

The Stippling Brush is smooth but not soft as it's a firm brush. Unlike the powder brush I was disappointed when 3 bristles did come out when I first used it, but none came out when I was washing this brush and none have come out since using it. The brush also kept it's shape and smoothness after washing. Like the first brush this one also has a flat base which makes it stand and is also very affordable.

Overall I love both of these brushes I can't wait to buy more! I like that all of the Real Technique brushes are affordable and that there also good quality. I also like that Samantha Chapman makes her brushes with Taklon bristles which is synthetic and cruelty-free. I also love the design of the brushes and the colour code systems gold = flawless base, pink = flawless finish and purple = enhanced eyes. And I love the fact that Samantha Chapman has videos on how to use her brushes, which I don't think any other popular companies like Sigma or MAC even offer that.

TAG: Dirty Little Secrets

I saw this on Ariel's blog Chic Look xo and she tagged all of her followers to do this tag. Since it looks fun I decided that I would do it :)

1. What TV/Film show do you secretly watch?

For me I love watch Young and the Restless. I started watching it because I used to watch Passion and Y&R would come on after it. I love this show pretty much every week I look for spoilers online because I always wanna know what gonna happen next.

2. What song do you secretly know all the words to?

Heidi Montag Superficial I don’t know why but I love singing to this song and also her other song Overdosin “I'm overdosin' over your love
I feel like I'm an addict with a habit and your the drug. I'm overdosin' over your love Don't care what you put me through, I can't get enough of you (I can't, I) can't get enough of you” I love singing these song when I cleaning because it make cleaning up seem fun lol.

3. Who is the one "non-famous" person you'd secretly like to meet?
(Blogger/YouTuber related)

From youtube I would like to meet Nicole from Nguerriero19 I think she is funny and herself in her videos and when she talking and she messes up on words it reminds me of myself casue I do that a lot.

4. What is your worst bad habit?

When my lips are dry I peel them which is bad and I can’t stop until they start to bleed then I’m like ok I should stop now my lips are bleeding. I also always try to stop myself when I do it but I do it a lot that it like playing with your hair I don't even realize I'm doing it. But I only do this when I'm by myself.

5. What is the most expensive thing you own? Do you regret buying it?

I can’t think of the most expensive thing I own lol but whatever it is I don’t regret buying it!

6. What is your biggest pet peeve?

When I’m talking to someone and I feel they are not listen or paying attention to what I’m saying.

7. What do you secretly like the smell of?

I don’t know.

8. What are you secretly lusting after?

I don’t think I’m secretly lusting after anything lol

I tag anyone who wants to do this :)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters In Pink Tuffle and Sugar Plum Review

I know this product is kinda old news but I've finally gotten around to trying out these bad boys lol.
I actually bought these on amazon since I had a visa gift card and on amazon the colours I wanted were not sold out.

About The Product
From Revlon website "Buttery Balm with beautiful shiny colour to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips. 94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother and instantly hydrated." Comes in 0.09 ounce.

Review
I'm in love with these two lip butters the moment I put them on my lips. They make my lips feel so smooth and soft. And I think the packaging is so cute. I also like that at the top of the lipstick cover it's clear that way can get a look at the colour, as sometimes in drugstore they don't have tester or the tester are gone etc. The shades that I got were Pink Truffle and Sugar Plum. Now don't be fooled by the name Pink Truffle because it isn't really a pink colour. It is more of a shade of brown/pink mixture. But that is fine with me as I think this colour looks great as a mixture of brown and pink. Sugar Plum what can I say lol besides that the shade is purple in the tube but when applied on me it looks more pink with a purple tint.

Swatches

Sugar Plum

Retail
Pink Truffle 6.99US on Amazon
Sugar Plum 7.49US on Amazon

Overall
I'm in LOVE with these two Revlon products and will for sure be trying more from this line. Colours that I hope to try are Peach Parfait, Lollipop, Berry Smoothie, Candy Apple, Gum Drop, Strawberry Shortcake, Cotton Candy, Sweet Tart, Cherry Tart and Raspberry Pie. As you can see there is a lot more colours I want to try.

DIY Make Your Lashes Sparkle!

In this DYI I'm gonna show you how to jazz up your false lashes and make them sparkle. For me I want to make the tip of my Red Cherry 113 lashes purple and add some glitter to them for an upcoming makeup look I'm working on. Here is how I did it!
What You Need
Lashes
Paint
Plate
Glitter
Brush

If you don't want to add any colour to your lashes skip to step 3.

Step 1.
Decide on what colours you want to paint your lashes. For me I want them purple, but my purple paint is a bit to dark so I added a tiny bit of white paint and mixed them together. (I'm using water colour paint because I plan to wash the paint of after I use the lashes. But I would recommend not using water colour paint)

Step 2. Holding the bass of your lashes start painting the tip of your lashes. Wait 15 minutes for them to completely dry.

Step 3. Dip your brush into glitter (I recommend using the glitter that comes in a tube because there is already glue mixed into it) and holding the base of the lashes paint the glitter into your lashes. Let lashes dry for another 15 minutes. If you can't find the glitter in the tube and you have to use loose glitter then buy clear glue and mix them together and do this step.

[Important Note] I recommend when using these lashes you peel them off after your done and not take them off with makeup remover because the paint and or glitter could wipe off and get into your eyes.

NOW YOUR DONE :)
(can't see the sparkles to will in this picture but they are there lol)

Shiseid Sunscreen Vs Clinique Sunscreen

Everyone needs to protect there skin from harmful rays of the sun no matter what your skin tone is, recently before my trip to Jamaica I went to Sephora to buy sunscreen for my face. After trying out Clinique SPF 30 Face Cream and a few other I decided to buy Clinique and because I bought a face product Sephora was having a deal with 100 Beauty Insider points I could also get a full size of Shiseido Ultra Sun Protection Cream SPF 50.

About The Product
"A highly nourishing cream formula sunscreen for the face that defends against powerful UVA/UVB rays that cause sunburn cell damage, dryness, roughness & premature signs of aging such as fine lines. Smoothes on with no trace of stickiness."

Price
20.00 - 35.00CAN depending on the size you purchase.

Review
Comes in a 30ml bottle. Small enough to carry around with you in your bag. Comes in SPF 50 which is what I got and also comes in SPF 55. I don't like the smell of this product, Which is a big downside for me because when I'm putting any cream on my face I would like for it to smell good. Beside that I don't really have a whole lot to say about this product.

About The Product
"Our new dimension in protection - advanced defense & repair. Innovative solar smart technology stabilizes high level protection against the aging and burning effects of UVA & UVB rays. Triggers a repair that helps prevent sign of aging. Formulated for the face with solar - activated antioxidants that help prevent visible damage."

Price
23.00 CAN

Review
Clinique sunscreen comes in a 50ml bottle the product is fragrance free. I'm not in love with the smell but unlike Shiseid I didn't notice the smell after a few seconds I really forgot about the smell. Travel size so you can bring this with you any where are it's also works for people with sensitive skin and is oil free. I don't have sensitive skin but I do have oily skin in my t-zone, I like that it's oil free.

Overall
I think the winner for me would have to be Clinique SPF 30 Face Cream because it's oil free, I think it sells for a good price. There is 20ml more product then Shiseido. I also like the fact that with Clinique the face cream bottle comes stealed. I like that both come with an information sheet but I feel Clinique comes with more information. However I do like that Shisedo comes with sun safety tips on there information sheet, but for me I just like Clinique product better.

Thanks for reading my review :)
