Nail Polish Collection Part 3 - L'Oreal

Today from my collection I will be showing you my L'OREAL polishes I only have two not because I don't like the brand but because I hardly ever notice the brand when I'm looking at the nail polish section in a drug store.

L'OREAL Chicklette (2 coats)
Chicklette is one of my favourite colours I love that it's such a soft pretty light pink. It is a very light pink so I sometimes apply three coats  of this polish.

L'OREAL Mango-Get-Em (2 coats)
Mango-Get-Em is almost similar to Essie Fifth Avenue but Mango-Get-Em is more of a coral polish then a red/orange polish.

Overall I think L'Oreal polish are ok I think when I finish these two I don't picture myself buying more from this brand as I never notice L'Oreal when I'm in the store. I don't think they have every eye catching colours.

What L'Oreal polishes do you like?

Nail Polish Collection Part 2 - Julep

Part two of my collection are my Julep polishes. I won two polish were I  pick which two I wanted which were Kim and Sienna and the other four I didn't pick out are Brooke, Taylor, Jennifer and Maya. I didn't pick them out personally because I also won the other four polishes in a three month Julep Maven Box subscription. You can purchase Julep polishes on their website for 14.00US and if your a Maven member then you can purchase them at 11.20US.

Julep Brooke (2 coats)
Brooke is one of my favourite polishes I don't wear this alone because the base colour of this polish is a light purple, its pretty much clear but doesn't provide good colour coverage for the tip of your nails but on top of other polishes I think the polish is great. It not a thick polish and you can apply this as many times are you want to, I have found that it doesn't get clumpy, when applying more then a few coats.

Julep Taylor (3 coats)
This polish is probably the worst polish I tried, this polish is too thick and sticky as well it start to clump when apply it to the nails. This polish seriously looks like a mess on your nails. Julep Taylor is like a nail polish when it almost finished that is what the formula of this polish looks like, and my bottle is no where near finished. It's only almost at the half way mark an I have other Julep polishes that are at the half way mark and the formula is nothing like this. The only positive thing I can stay about this polish is that I really like the colour it's a blue purple polish. Sometimes it looks blue and other times it looks more purple, if it wasn't for the fact that I love this shade I would have toss this polish the moment I tried it.

Julep Jennifer (3 coats)
This polish is a simple nude polish, I like to put Julep Brooke or any other sparkle/glitter polish on top of this one. But sometimes I do like to wear this alone.

Julep Maya (3 coats)
To me this colour is an metallic peach tone polish, its in the orange family but it's more on the light side of orange. You can get away with apply 2 coats of this polish but I applied 3 because I wanted it to be really vibrant. This is one of my favourite polishes it just such a simple pretty colour. Perfect for spring and summer.

Julep Kim (2 coats)
This is a metallic grey tone polish, I don't wear this often but it is one of my favourites. I mostly like to wear this polish on my toes as I only like wearing dark polishes on my toes for some reason I never wear any light or bright colours on them.

Julep Sienna (2 coats)
Out of all of the gold shade polishes I have tried this is my favourite. I think it the perfect shade of gold and I love that it's a metallic polish.

 Julep Brooke
This is Julep Brooke on top of all of the other julep polishes. From left to right-Sienna, Kim, Jennifer, Maya and Taylor. I have only done the Jennifer Brooke combo before but now I want to try Brooke on top if Kim and Taylor. Brooke on top of Sienna and Maya I don't think they really look that great because you can't really see the sparkles.

What are your favourite Julep polish or what polish do you like the best from these 6 Julep polishes?

The Bay & Forever 21 Haul

Today I went shopping with my cousin because I wanted to go the MAC store at my local mall where they were having a Archie's Girl Collection Event, because it wasn't an actual MAC store it was a MAC counter in The Bay the event wasn't big. But I also bought some other stuff beside MAC so here is a haul post on the other stuff that I got. I will do another post on the MAC products in a few weeks once I have tested them out for awhile.
Love & Beauty By Forever21 Perfect Manicure Nail Stickers $1.80CAD
I was shocked when I saw these for $1.80, can't wait to try them and they are cruelty free.

Forever21 Earrings $3.80CAD I couldn't find the ones I got online buy here is a link to similar earrings for $5.80 click here

Love & Beauty By Foreve21 Shimmer Bronzer $5.80CAD. I never have bought Forever21 bronzer but I did see a YouTube video on there eye shadow palette with a good review so I decided to try there bronzer since I'm currently not buying anymore eye shadows for now. This is also cruelty free as while when I was waiting in line I noticed there eye shadow palettes are also cruelty free.

The Bay Material Girl Pants $29.99, my cousin and I both got a pair together she got a mint coloured pair of these pants. I have been wanting pink pants for awhile now, I can't wear these until spring because there not thick pants unless I wear these on top of leggings, but I think these are prefect for spring and now I kind of want a mint coloured pair like my cousin got.

What are some of your recent purchases?

Nail Polish Collection - Part 1 Essie

For the next few weeks I'm going to be reviewing my nail polish collection and up first are my Essie polishes.

Essie Fifth Avenue  (2 coats)
Essie Fifth Avenue is a orange red nail polish, it's a bright colour and all you really need is 2 coats sometimes you can even get away with apply one coat. The formula of this polish is not to thick and I think the brush is rather small.

Essie Aruba Blue (3 coats)
Essie Aruba Blue is an electric blue is a very vibrate colour. I remember when I was little my friend had a polish like this colour and she painted my nails, ever since then I have wanted a nail polish that is this tone of blue. Like Fifth Avenue the formula is no thick and the brush is small.

Essie Plumberry (2 coats)
These polish is a deep red it is one of my favourite polishes, I don't like red polishes but because its a dark red and not bright red I like it. The formula for this polish is the same as the others as well as the brush.

What Essie polishes do you like?

Review

Contour Brush
This brush can be use to contour an highlight. I like the egg shape of this brush if you have seen their blush brush then this brush is the mini version. The bristles are super soft.
Pointed Foundation Brush
I have not used this brush to apply foundation but I have used this to apply concealer, I think its there perfect size for this purpose and it gets into the corner around your nose and eyes well. The reason I haven't used this to apply foundation is because I hardly ever were foundation all over my face and I think this brush is a bit to small for that.
Detailer Brush
This brush can be used to conceal problem areas on the face or it can also be used as a lip brush which is currently what I use this brush for to apply lipstick. I like the pointed tip of the brush I think it help to make sure you lipstick is on point!
Buffing Brush
On the package the buffing brush is recommend for powder or mineral foundation but I think it really can be used for any type of foundation.

 Price
I got this set from a store in the mall close to where I live Designer Cosmetics, but you can also purchase these brushes online.
29.95 CAD

 Deluxe Crease Brush
This brush is really big I don't use it too much in my crease unless I just doing a simple eye makeup with 3 or 2 shadows, but I do like to use this sometimes to blend out the shadow on my brow bone. I think it works well for that purpose. I have also seen on Pixi Woo Sam using this brush to apply concealer, but I have yet to try this.
Base Shadow Brush
I think this brush is my favourite out of the set because it so moveable, most base shadow brush are kind of stiff/firm, but with this brush you can also use it to blend out shadows because it is so moveable. I like this but some people might like a firm brush better.
Accent Brush
I like to use this brush when apply shadow around my tear duct and around my lower lash line, you can also use this for highlighting the brow bone if you want a little high light and smudging.
Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush
I like this brush, however this brand does carry an eyeliner brush that is smaller then this one. At first I thought that this brush was too thick but once I used it I actually like the thickness of the brush.
Brow Brush
This brush is not as slim as other brush brushes I have seen and I don't have anything to compare this brush too, as I don't have another brow brush but I like the thickness of the brush I think it cut down the time I spend on my brows.

 Price
I got this set from the same store close to where I live Designer Cosmetics, but you can also purchase these brushes online as well. I actually was planning to buy these two sets on amazon but then I found out they are being sold some where close to me I decided to not purchase these online. If I did buy these online however I think I would have saved with shipping and handling around 10 dollars because they are cheaper online the core set is around 16 dollars, the starter set is around 15 and for me shipping is around 9 dollars which is an estimate that amazon gave me but I'm ok with spending a little extra.
29.95 CAD

Have you tried these brush sets or any Real Techniques Brushes?

To create this look first I comb my brows and fill them.

Next I applied Eve Pearl around my brows to highlight them and to give them a better shape.

Next I primed my eye lids.

Then in my crease I applied a matte purple and a bit above and as well I did that again but with a shimmer purple over the matte, using a blending brush.

Then I blended out the purple shadow with a tan shadow above my crease to my brow bone using a more fluffy blending brush.

Then with the same blending brush I used for the purple shadow I applied a black shimmer shadow to my outer crease and I lightly applied it to the rest of my crease. Then I went back with the tan shadow and fluffy blending brush and blended out the black shadow so there wouldn't be any harsh edges.

Then I applied Milk to my lid to help bring out the pink I used.

Then with a lid brush I applied hot pink eye shadow on top of the white eye liner.

Then using a flat brush I lightly tapped Phyrra onto the pink to add some sparkle.

Then using an a liquid eye liner I lined my upper lash line.

Then with a small flat brush I lined the black liner with Vaseline to make the glitter stick and then I placed the Hollywood glitter on top of that.

Then with a flat brush I applied both the matte and shimmer purple to my lower lash line.

Then I applied this shimmer purple to my crease to blend in with the pink.

Next I curl my lashes and applied mascara to top and button lashes. I Lined my water line with this purple eye liner.

Next with Revlon Lash Adhesive I applied Ardell lashes.

Then I applied concealer and dusted a bit of Dazzle Rocks onto my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead.

Last I applied pink lipstick MAC Candy Yum Yum  because I thought this would add the look for being kind of like a fantasy.
