Clean Your Brushes With Anti Bacteral Soap & Olive Oil

Hey I'm going to be showing you guys a new way I have been cleaning my makeup brushes, I've tried this out a few times and I think this is a great inexpensive way to clean your makeup brushes.

So what you will need is anti bacterial soap, olive oil, a plate and of course your dirty bushes.
I have two dawn soaps and like always I never read the label lol and I took out the wrong soap. So don't be like me and assume that all Dawn soaps are anti bacterial lol.
This is the one I was supposed to use.

Pour a good amount of soap onto a plate, I used a paper plate but I think its better to use a real plate because sometimes liquids can leak with paper plats. Next pour the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, pour 1/3 the size of the soap.

Stir brushes in plate in a back and forth motion to pick up the soap and oil.

Then do the same on your hand stir in a back and forth motion until all the dirt as come up, then lay its flat on a towel and clean the rest of your brushes.

If your brushes are really dirty your hand may look like mine at the end lol.

For me my eye shadow brushes are the dirtiest with black and browns and all kinds of eye shadows in them. Look at them they look so black ewww. Now that your "loosen" the dirt from your brushes its time to wash them clean!

First I just want to say never wash your brushes facing them up because you don't want the water getting into the base were the bristle are glued in because it will loosen up the glue and the bristle will fall out. I always run my hand in warm water never hot, then I wipe the brush on my hand as the water in running.

So here is my brushes, after I was them I get as much water out as a can drying them with a paper towel. When drying them just like when I wash them I put my brushes facing down. After I dry them off with a paper towel I lay them on a cloth towel leaving the brushes hanging at edge of my dresser, so they they dry all the way around. I even tried this on my beauty blender dupe that a friend got for me and it cleaned the sponge pretty well, which I find beauty blenders/dupes hard to clean if you don't have the beauty blender cleaner.

Have you tried this method to clean your brushes before?

Velour Lashes Review

As you may already now I went to Imats this year you can click here for my haul, one of the things I bought were Velour Lashes. I remember everytime me and my friend would move to a new booth I would say do you see Velour Lashes booth and then finally when we were looking at this booth selling nail products I spotted Velour Lashes and I went right over to them. The lashes that I wanted to get were You Complete Me but they were all sold out so I got Are Those Real? The minute I tried this lashes I thought I wish I would have both two pair these lashes are amazing!

About The Product

Review
First time when removing the lashes I found that you need to be gentle as I pull out one lash by accident, best to use a tweezers when removing the lashes from the case. The feel of the lashes are great they are soft and smooth which before these lashes I never thought about the feel of lashes until one of the ladies that help me choose which lashes I bought told one of the customer to feel the lashes they are soft and to my surprise they are. They also blend so well into my real lashes, the one I bought were Are Those Real? and I have to say they look like the could be my real lashes. I also think the band the lashes are on it not too thick which is good because they blend in with my black liner well, it just looks like the band is my liner. I also love the little caution statement they have on there box its so cute as it says "Contents may cause serious side effects such as increased flirtiness, extreme sexiness and irresistible eyes" this is just so cute! These lashes are also comfortable on my eyes which is great because my eyes are sensitive, they are light weight but not so light weight that you would forget there even there.

Price

Velour Lashes Top $29.99
Velour Lashes Bottom $24.99

At Imats I paid $20.00 for these babies so they were $9.99 dollars off of the regular price, if you want these lashes and Imats is coming near you and your going then I would wait to buy them there if Velour Lashes will be there. If not then you can buy them online and they also have free shipping.

Overall
I so wish I would have bought one more pair of these lashes maybe in a different style because they are so good. I would buy this again and I love the way Real Those Real? look on me. I would recommend getting these lashes if your into more natural looking lashes.

Have you tried Velour Lashes?

This Imats it was my first time going and I want to go again next year I did see online that some people feel this Imats wasn't as good as last year as some companies like NYX wasn't there this year which I have to say they were one of the companies I really wanted to see since I don't have a Rexall which is were NYX is sold in Canada, I don't have a Rexall in walking distance to were I live that I know of and the store that sell NYX close to were I live doesn't have a wide range of there products. But lets get to the HAUL! :)

Makeup Geek Brush Review

I have another brush review for you all today, I'm slowing building up my makeup brush collection and I have 3 more brushes to add to that, which I bought from Makeup Geek. Makeup Geek is also a youtube channel called Makeup Geek TV with tutorials by the talented Marlena, watching her channel is what first got me interested in makeup. I even remember the first video that I watched of her channel which was an Arabic inspired look. Which if you would like to see that video you can click here. Anyway she has her own product line of brushes, eyeshadow/liners and lipsticks, as well she does sell other product from different companies like NYX and MAC in her online store. I picked up 3 brushes MUG Bent Liner Brush, MUG Eyeliner Smudge and MUG Crease Brush.

Review

MUG Bent Liner Brush
I have really needed a liner brush as before this I was using the wand from my Maybelline liquid liner for my gel liner lol. I have to say I enjoy this one, I like that it's bend because I feel that the bend shape of the brush makes it easier to use when your apply liner. The bristles are also made from Taklon and brush it soft and move across my skin nicely.

MUG Eyeliner Smudge Brush
I have been wanting a new smudge brush as I feel like the one I have from Too Faced is not flat enough and sometime when I'm sweeping it alone my lower lash line eyeshadow gets into my eyes. With this brush I haven't had that problem at all. This brush is also good for smudging out liners as well. I also like to use this for apply eyeshadow to the inner corner of my eyes. I have to say when I bought this I wasn't looking for a flat smudge brush, I did think that it would be like a pencil brush because in the picture on the Makeup Geek website it does look like a round brush and not so much flat at first I wasn't too happy with it but after I tried it I changed my mind and now I happy that I have this brush because as a said I think its a better smudge brush then the one I have from Too Face, but I still use the Too Face brush for my brows.

MUG Crease Brush
This is my fave brush out of these 3, I like my Too Face Crease Brush but I like that this one is smaller and it has more of a round top then my other crease brush and I just feel that with this brush it work better in my crease and the Too Faced brush I now use it for blending out shadow on my brow bone. The bristles are Synthetic and they are so super soft and blends out my shadows like a dream lol, if I recommend any of these brushes to you all I would have to say get this one.

Prices

These prices are AMAZING, I couldn't believe it at first I was like is this on sale? Nope these are the regular prices.

MUG Bent Liner Brush $4.29 US
MUG Eyeliner Smudge Brush $ 4.29 US
MUG Crease Brush $ 4.99 US

Update Makeup Geek now has a new Crease Brushes it is a new design from there old one which retails for $5.99 an AMAZING price.

Have you tried any MUG products?

Macadamia Natural Oil Products Review

So I have been looking into getting a new brush because the one that I have I hate and it pulls my hair and I just never liked it. Why'll I was watching one of my fave youtube channels nguerriero19 in her favorites video she was talking about her Macadamia no tangle brush. So I did some research and I decided that this would be the new brush that I would get. I ending up getting more then the brush because Macadamia Hair had a limited time offer to buy there No Tangle Pre Styler Spray and you get a free No Tangle Brush.

Review
First I'm going to start of with talking about the service I received from Macadamia Hair. I don't ever talk about service because I always had normal service when shopping online nothing really special to write about but that wasn't the case this time. Now I purchased this in August on a Friday, I'm sorry I don't remember the date it was but I know for sure it was on a Friday. Ordering was easy, but what I didn't like is that for 2 weeks I had no idea were my package was. I didn't receive any information about shipping. I didn't contact the company because in there email to confirm your order it does say your order will be shipped in one to two weeks. So after the second week of still receiving no information on my order being shipped I contacted the company by email I didn't get any response, then I contacted them by phone and I had to leave a message and someone would get back to me. I think the next day I got a call back from them and I was told for some reason my order hadn't been shipped for some reason it was forgotten. But the lady on the phone was every nice and said they would ship my order out right away and she also gave me two free samples. So that was my experience with the service from this company and then I also had problems with UPS about paying a brokerage fee which was $14.25. Oh my goodness lol over all it took almost I think close to a month for me to get my order. Now on to the review of the products.

This is one of the samples I received Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque and the other sample I received is Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment which I have not used yet, so I will not be reviewing it. This product is designed for dry damaged hair it helps rebuild the hair leaving the hair to be deeply nourished. When I opened this package and smelled the masque it smelled so good, I really liked the smell of it. This is a product that I would buy in a full size. It made my hair feel so good, my hair felt light weight and looked shiny. I could not stop touching my hair. However this is an intense treatment it does say on the package that it should be used no more then twice a week. This masque is combined with macadamia oil, argan oil, tea tree oil and chamomile oil and it's also alcohol free, cruelty free and paraben free.

Next up is the Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Pre Styler, I was excited about the product because when I wash my hair it gets so tangled I believe more then the average person. I was surprise when I discovered the this isn't really I spray the formula of the product is a creamy texture and it does spray out of the bottle but it's a cream that is sprayed out. I do believe that this does help to detangle my hair as when I first use it, I got the worst biggest tangle in my hair after I had washed it and I was going to cry because the tangle was so big I was thinking I was going to have to cut a big chuck of my hair out. But thankfully that didn't happen. I like the packaging of the bottle I think its pretty cute and the product has a floral scent to it and feels light weight in my hair. This is a cream and it's doesn't spray out like a liquid therefore when I use it I spray it on 3 areas of my hair. The sides of my head and the middle and then I rub it in my hair a bit then I use my brush to get out the tangles.

Last is the No Tangle Brush, I love this, I like the design it's easy to hold in your hand it your holding it at the head of the brush or by the handle. The bristles are flexible and there are short and long. This brush is said to help eliminate pulling on the hair, split ends and breakage. I don't know how this would eliminate split ends but this brush for sure doesn't pull on my hair like my other brush did. It gets my tangle's out of my hair with out hardly any pain and I have notice less fall out with this brush. The No Tangle is recommend for people with fragile hair or chemically treated hair.

Overall I don't know if I would purchase from them online but I will try and see if there are any retailer that sell there products, but if I couldn't find a store the sells there products that was close to me I might consider buying from them online. As for there products so far so good, so I would buy there products again.
