MAKEUP LOOK WITH MARC JACOBS PALETTE

Hey guys! Today I have a makeup look using some new products. For this look I used the new Marc Jacobs Palette called The Siren 210 which is a colourful palette with bright shimmery shadows in white, red, orange, yellow, teal, blue and green. For this look I used 2 shadows from this palette the red, orange and yellow as well I used some natural shadows as well. NAYA RIVERA INSPIRED MAKEUP LOOK

I'm back with another make up post inspired by a black celebrity for Black History Month, this look is inspired by Naya Rivera who is from the hit show Glee. I don't watch Glee anymore but her character Santana was one of my favorites I really liked the solo or duet songs the Naya Rivera would see on the show. How to Create This Eye Look

First step is to prime your eye lids and lower lash line.

Then I applied the dark plum satin shadow from the Touch Tones Palette to my crease and outer v. Apply the purple shadow also to the inner part of your crease as well. Then taking the 6th shadow from the left of the palette I applied that to the middle of my lid, when with a blending brush I blend the two colours together.

Then with the 3rd colour from the palette I applied that gold shadow to my inner lid and tear duct.  Then to blend out my inner crease I took the first shadow from that palette which is a matte nude with a blending brush I applied the shadow and blend out the edge of where the gold shadow stopped and purple shadow stop.

Then taking the copper shadow which is the 4th shadow in the palette I applied that with a light hand above my crease with a blending brush.

Then I applied with a blending brush a cream colour matte shadow to highlight my brow bone. This is the 2nd shadow in the palette.

For my lower lash like I applied the 3rd shadow into my tear duct, then a applied the same shadow that same shadow that is on the middle part of my lid onto the middle of my lower lash line and the I applied the purple to my outer lower lash line. Using a pencil brush to do this and I blend the shadows together.

Then apply liquid or gel liner in a winged liner style. Apply mascara you can also curl your lashes if you like. Then finish the rest of your makeup the way you want. I added false lashes to add more drama to this look and I used a raspberry blush and purple lips to finish off the look.

Favorite Products Of 2013

2013 is over and it's now 2014! I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year :)
I'm sharing a list of my favorite products that I enjoyed using last year.

These are my favorite lashes!

I use this all the time for my brows.

This for me is an everyday lip gloss and I wear it a lot.

This is a good concealer and can also be used a primer.

This is an everyday blush, one of my favorite blushes out of all the blushes I have.

I use this all the time to blend out other shades, or days when I'm wearing a little bit of makeup.

I love this polish because it dries fast!

This is a good concealer that is cheap, I also like Fit Me but I recently finished it so I no longer have it to add it to this list.

Both great mascaras I like lashgasm for my bottom lashes and Tarte is great for both bottom and top lashes.

I have a bunch of Glamour Doll Eyes pigments and I really like the white pigments to add to my tear duct and Dirty Jeans is my favorite pigment, it's a beautiful colour.

I like using this palette to apply liner to my waterline.

I use this shadow for my brows if I'm not my Make Up For Ever Brow Corrector.

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette Review

 

Today I have a review on Too Faced Naked Eye Palette, I have had this for years but it's a palette I don't use much.

 

About The Product

From Sephora website "A gorgeous collection of nine essential matte neutrals and soft shimmer eye shadows, complete with three Get-The-Look cards."

 

 

 

 

Review

All shadows applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion Eden

 

In The Buff is a matte ivory shadow, when I applied this with a brush I hardly any of the colour showed up, when I applied this shadow with my finger however the shadow had a better colour pay off.

 

Birthday Suit is a beige shimmer shadow, I think this shadow can be nice for lighter skin tones as I have tried this shadow before and it hardly showed up and this was with primer. 

 

Pink Cheeks is a pale pink, this colour doesn't really show up well and it's not any better then In The Buff.

 

 

 

The first shadow is Pillow Talk, which is a light taupe sheen shadow. Pillow Talk is an ok shadow more of a highlight shade.

 

Satin Sheets is a golden champagne shimmer shadow it looks pink up when applied to skin is actually gold. This shadow doesn't have much pigmentation which is a disappointment because it a pretty colour.

 

Lap Dance is describe as a silvery taupe shimmer, this is one of the only shadows that I actually really like. It is a pretty light plum shade and will look pretty an anyone.

 

 

 

Like A Virgin is the first shadow which is another shadow that I have used the most. Like A Virgin is a matte taupe shadow it really great as a transition colour for your crease. 

 

Unmentionables is a steel gray shimmer shadow. I haven't used this shadow much, I believe I have only used it maybe three or four times. It's a nice gray but I just don't really wear gray shadows much so that is why I don't really have anything good or bad to say about this shadow.

 

Stiletto is a matte black, I feel like this is the only matte shadow besides Like A Virgin that actually has a good colour pay off. This is a nice black matte shadow.

Overall I would not recommend this palette I think it's a real let down, bad colour pay off and not bad pigmentation. This palette is a pass in my book, they only shadows that are good are Lap Dance, Like A Virgin, Unmentionables (if you like grays) and Stiletto. That is 4 out of 9 shadows that are good. I have to say again don't waste your money on this palette.
