Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow Review

Today I have a great review for you all, I was contacted by Make Up For Ever Canada to do a review on there new Aqua Shadows and I said yes of course :) Make Up For Ever is becoming one of my new favourite makeup brands after trying there brow corrector and now there shadows. 

About The Product

Aqua Shadow is the newest member to the Aqua family and is available in 12 shades, 5 with a matte finish and 7 with a pearly finish. Aqua Shadows are created with silica powder which makes them glide onto your lids smooth and there easy to blend. Aqua Shadows don't smudge, crease or fade and are long lasting.

Review

I was sent 2 Aqua Shadows to review one with a matte finish (green) and one with a pearly finish (beige). I was so happy when I got these and I tried them out right away. So here is what I think. The pearly finish gilds on so smooth, it's intensely pigmented. I'm in love with both colours. Green is so intense and also glides on just as smooth as the beige shadow. The swatch above shows the shadows without any primer and I only applied the shadow once. I love that they are in the form of a pencil which make them easy for travel, as in mid July I'm going on vacation and I don't want to bring a lot of makeup because it will take up suit case space but I will for sure be taking these with me as they wont take up any space in my suite case at all. Aqua Shadows are also waterproof and smudge proof, in the picture below I'm showing you a swatch of the shadows in the sun before I wash and rubbed my hand to test this out.

After I washed and rub my hand to test out this product being waterproof and smudge proof I would say that the pearly finish did rub off a tiny bit after I washed my hand but when I tried to dub it off the product stayed on. The matte finish hardly washed off and it stayed on after trying to rub it off. So waterproof I would rate this product 8 out of 10 on being waterproof and smudge proof I would rate this product 10 out of 10 on being smudge proof! Which over all I think this is great :)

I created a quick and simple look with the 2 shadows. Beige 28E is on my lid and blends great with the product that I used from a different brand on my brow bone. I love this colours its so natural and for me I like natural colours that I can wear everyday. Green 8E is on my lower lash line and I think the green gives a pop of colour to this look so its not too simple. Once again like in the swatches I showed I'm wearing no primer.

 I tested out this look for 7 hours and I'm happy to report I didn't have any creasing with these shadows which is a big big plus for me since my lids are a bit oily and sometimes eye shadows crease for me without primer but this time that didn't happen in the 7 hours I tested this look out.
