Miz Outlet & Sephora Haul

 

Recently I did some shopping online and in store and here is a haul of the items I picked up.

 

 

 

 

First I'm going to start off with Sephora because I only bought one item. Sephora was so empty I was surprise but that could have been because it was a Monday. I ended up finding this in the sale bin for $19.00CAD, Smashbox Metallic Cream Eye Liner Palette.

 

Miss Adoro Slant Tip Tweezers I wanted tweezers like this since I saw them being used on Pixiwoo which is a youtube channel by Sam. It's great for pulling out more hairs at once when grooming your brows. These tweezers were $1.49US.

 

 

I have wanted cuff earrings so BAD for so long! These were only $1.00US I couldn't believe it!

 

I love feathers earrings I think I have 5 pairs, but I have none in this colour so that's why I picked up these, they too were only $1.00US.

 

I picked up these lashes because I wanted lashes I could use in makeup looks. Ardell Just for fun Wild Lash in Sparkle were $3.99US.

 

I always have wanted to try Ardell lashes and lashes that are thick so that's why I got these, can't wait to try them! These Ardell lashes in black 101 were $3.99US.

 

I love Red Cherry Lashes I already have a few pairs and I wanted to try something different from what I have. These were $1.99US.

 

This was my first time buying from Miz Outlet and I think they have more then good prices there price points are amazing, I for sure would buy from them again. To order from Miz Outlet your order must be $20.00US or more, they ship with USPS. If your adding up my purchase its under $20.00 of what I'm showing because I bought a gift for someone's birthday and I also gave the pro conceal to my friend because the shade I bought was to light but the price of the pro conceal is $1.99US so I will just try again next time I shop there to find my right shade.

The Body Shop

 

Hey everyone recently I won a few products from The Body Shop on spicedbeauty.com and I wanted to share with you guys what I won and my quick thoughts on the products I got.

 

 

The Body Shop Lip Balms in Vanilla Bliss, Cranberry Joy and Ginger Sparkle. I kept Vanilla Bliss and I gave the other two to my mother and cousin. I been using this lip balm non stop and taking it with me when I go out which pretty much if you can't tell that means I have been loving this stuff. Keeps my lips from getting dry I like wearing this at night and during the day because there is a little shimmer in the lip balm which make it perfect for wearing out if your the type of person that doesn't like wearing coloured lip gloss or if your not a lipstick person.

 

 

The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Bath Crystals, I don't take baths anymore so I don't have any use for bath crystals so I will most likely give this away to someone.

 

 

The Body Shop Slanted Kabuki I haven't used this yet but it's super soft.

 

 

The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Body Butter, I got two lotion so I'm going to keep one and I'm going to give one away to someone because I have a lot of lotion already that I need to finish. But I have tried other body butters from The Body Shop and they are really good.

 

 

I got this snowman loofa which is so cute!

 

 

The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Body Polish, I wasn't to sure about this when I first go this, I didn't even know what body polish was. I was so confused and I was like is this lotion or shower gel lol I had no clue. I tried this a few times in the shower and honestly when I use this I feel like I'm at a spa I like the ginger extracts that are in this it feel so good on your body and smells so good as well.

 

 

The Body Shop The Sparkle in 01 Golden Copper, I love the bottle that this comes in it so fancy. This is a body and face shimmer it spays out like a perfume but its a powder. Also from what I've seen on line I do believe this also comes in another shade. I haven't really tried this out yet but I did try spray just a bit on my arm to sample it and I it sprays out even and gives a nice shimmer not over powering.

 

 

The Body Shop 4-step Smoky Eyes I can't really say anything really about this because I have not tried this palette yet. However it comes with two travel size brushes one is a flat brush and the other is a liner brush.

 

 

The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Hand Lotion this smells just as good as the vanilla bliss balm. Haven't used this because I do need to finish other lotions that I have before I open this up. However this lotion has a pump were you can turn it to the left to close it and to the right to open it which would make this handy if your want to take this on vacation.

 

 

The Body Shop Dazzling Rocks Shade 01 Golden Copper, I have been wanting to try a product like this for the longest time. I have been using this since I got it and this give off a nice shimmer to your face you can also use this on your body, also comes with a sponge that protects the rocks from breaking.

Mac Lipstick Candy Yum Yum

Hey guys I have a review you all today. I saw this lipstick use in a makeup look from one of my favourite bloggers and it such a pop of pink I knew that this was something that I wanted to try for myself.

 

Review

I honestly can't think of one word to describe this colour it is just out of this world. It's super duper pink, its a neon pink and it will for sure turn heads. MAC Candy Yum Yum was in the MAC by Request line and it has now become a permanent lipstick. Candy Yum Yum is a matte finish neon pink lipstick. It's last for a good amount of time but can dry out the lips because it is a matte finish. When wearing this lipstick I recommend to scrub your lips first because if you apply this and your lips are even a little bit dry it will only bring the dryness of your lips. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say about this lipstick.

Golden Globe Awards Giuliana Rancic Inspired Makeup Look

 

I usually don't watch award shows but I do love watch to the red carpet specials on E! because it gives me a chance to see fashion and makeup that celebs are wearing. Khroma Beauty Shebang Eye Transformation Kit Review

 

For Christmas one of my best friends got me one of the products from the Kardashians new beauty line called Khroma Beauty which is available in the US and will also be available soon in the UK, which personally I have to say to the Kardashians what about Canada? When will it be available here?

 

About The Line

Khroma Beauty is a new makeup line were Kourtney, Kim and Khloe are the creators, ambassadors and faces of this line. The sister want to share with there fans there access to luxury formulas and with Khroma Beauty they can now do that. This line has high quality product but are at affordable price. With Khroma beauty the sisters fans can now recreate there signature looks that the girls are know for. Khroma beauty line ranges from mascaras, lashes, lipsticks and palettes. Review

The Shebang Set comes with an eye shadow palette containing six eye shadows. Shadows from left to right, the first shadow is a pretty lilac, then a nice cranberry, followed by two highlight colours in a peachy gold and gold tone, then a bronze shadow followed by a nice dark plum shadow. My favourite out of this palette would have to be the cranberry shadow, peach, bronze and the dark plum. All the shadow are nice shades but personally I like those ones the best and I like that the shadows are shimmery. However I would have liked to have at least one highlight shadow in this palette that was matte because personally for my skin tone the highlight shadows don't work to well as a nice highlight for my brow bone but they do work well around the tear duct and with these shadows you really have to build up the shadow to get the full effect of the shadows colour. Overall I think this is a nice palette I like it but I wouldn't use just the palette alone since there are no matte shadows.

 

 

The black liner pencil that comes with this set is pretty standard, goes on smooth, easy to sharpen and is not to dark, I know some people might not like that it's not such a dark black liner but for me I like my black eyeliner pencils to not be so dark that way if I want my liner dark I can build it up to get my desired look.

 

 

 

I love the style of these lashes there super girly and flirty I wasn't sure if I would like them because I like a more natural look when I wear false lashes but I'm in love with this pair. For me the lashes fit my lash line but I feel there a bit to long, I haven't yet but I'm going to cut a tiny tiny bit off from the lashes that way they can be more comfortable. This lashes do come with lash adhesive and I like the applicator that the adhesive comes with but I personally only like using my Revlon lash adhesive.

KQC Red Devil Tourmaline / Ceramic Flat Iron Review

For Christmas I finally got want I have been wanting for so long which is a good hair straighter. This is basically my first hair straighter I did have one along time ago it was a Conair one it sucked and I never used it, so all these years I have been straighten my hair with a Golden Hot, Hot Comb. I can finally throw that away now, that I have found the perfect straighter for me.

About The Product
                         KQC Red Devil Tourmaline / Ceramic Flat Iron has a special blend on tourmaline and ceramic plates that helps to seal hair cuticles as the hair is being styled repelling any humidity and any static for great long lasting frizz free shine. KQC Red Devil has red plates that are 1 inch long they produce a dark red when reached it maximum heat setting which is in less then 30 seconds. Heat setting start at 212 and go up to 410, 212 - 248 is recommend for very fine fragile hair, 248 - 302 thin and easy to curl hair, 302 - 356 for normal textured hair and 356 - 140 is for thick coarse hair.

Review

In the first picture that is my hair after I wash it, it is damp in that picture and when it's completely dry its a bit more puffy then this. So lets start the review! A big thing I was looking for in a flat iron was an iron that would be able to get my roots straight because I relax my hair and in between relaxing, when my hair is growing my roots are going to be super kinky until my next relaxing. KQC Red Devil Iron heats up super quick I would say in under a minute the flat iron reaches the heat setting its set on. The two little humps on iron make the iron easy to grip and give your finger and thumb a place to rest which I like. The flat iron cord is a spin around cord which mean it wont get tangled, as well this flat iron has movable plate the plates kind of move softly from side to side which will not leave creases in your hair and also help to eliminate the iron from tugging on your hair. My flat iron also came with a KQC flat iron holder which is great to have a place to place the iron when in use and after when your done using it for it to cool down, the KQC iron does cost extra.

Favourite Products Of 2012

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I hope this new year will bring lots of joy!

Today I wanted to share with you all my favourite products of 2012, this may be kind of a long post and there are a lot of products that have made it onto this list :)

 

 

 

Nails

 

1. China Glaze For Aubrey is a beautiful teal colour, looks every much like the colour of a tiffany's box.

2. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 270 Lacey Lilac is a pastel purple, it's one of my favourite colours out of these. I wear it all the time.

3. Sally Hansen Innocent Nude is a nude polish, I like to wear this when I'm not really in the mood to wear any colour but I still want my nails to look polished.

4. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Rockstar Pink I like wearing this colour on my ring fingers when I paint my nails because I feel it add something extra. Rockstar Pink is a glitter nail polish with pink, purple, gold, blue and red glitter. I'm actually been wearing this colour this week on my ring finger and a pink polish on the rest of my fingers.

5. Nicole By OPI Kardashian Kolor Khloe Had A Little Lam - Lam is another colour that I just love I also wear this all the time. I like that its a dark green.

6. Nicole By OPI Kardashian Kolor Hard - Kourt Fashionista is a dark brown polish almost close to black.

7. China Glaze Techno 816 is sparkly semi clear nail polish and I love wearing this over any of my polishes it is great for when you get tried of the polishes that you have.

8. Essie Aruba Blue is a vibrate blue nail polish.

9. Julep Brooke is a semi clean polishes you can wear it over another colour if you like. I however like to wear it over a nude polish because the clear polish does have a bit of a purple tint to it and there are also purple and pink sparkles.

10. Julep Taylor is one of those colours that you can't tell if its purple or if it blue and its also a thick polish. One or two coats is really all you need!  

 

 

Lips

 

1. Revlon Lip Butter Pink Truffle is a nude pink colour, goes on easy and help keeps lips moisturized.

2. Revlon Lip Butter Sugar Plum also goes on easy and help keep lips moisturized but this colour is a plum purple.

 

1. MAC Lipstick Dare You is a red lipstick, I think this tone of red works for my skin tone.

2. MAC Lipstick Hang Up out of all of my lipsticks and lip glosses this one is my fav fav fav I just LOVE this colours it's a wine tone lipstick.

 

 

Face

 

1. MAC Green Gel Cleanser I have been using this for I think almost three months and I have notice that this cleanser helps with my oily skin its not so oily in the morning when I wake up, sometimes however it does dry out my skin in my t-zone, but I have also notice that the pores on my nose have become smaller with this cleanser.

2. Eve Pearl HD Dual Foundation In Dark this foundation goes on so smooth and its easy to blend it comes with two tones of foundation one darker then the first which it great because you can blend the two tones together or use them to contour.

3. Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder is the only powder that I have been using for a why'll I LOVE this stuff. I have a detailed review that you can read here.

4. Maybelline Dream Fresh Beauty Balm is great for light application of foundation, blends into your natural skin tone well but also help to hind imperfections. Also has SPF and I would recommend this for someone who doesn't like foundation because this doesn't even look or feel like your wearing anything. 

5. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Café 30 is the only concealer I now use sometimes I only wear this on my face and nothing else beside my Ben Nye Powder.

 

 

Eyes

 

1. Red Cherry 213 don't know to say but I love these lashes!

2. Velour Lashes Are Those Real are the best looking lashes I have tried the only thing that sucks is accidently when I was cleaning the glue from off the lashes base some of the hair came off in the middle of one of the lashes which sucks. This has never happened to be before with other lashes my friend said maybe they were a bad pair but they look so good when you wear them that I had to add this to my favourite list. I will be buying another pair to replace the ones the broke and hopefully this wont happened again.

3. Maybelline The Mega Plush Volum' Express separates my lashes so well, I really like the mascara, not a lot of product comes out on the brush with help with not getting any clumps when you use this. I haven't found this mascara to clump at all but the brush however it to big to use on your lower lashes without getting any mascara on your skin.

4. MAC Paint Pot Indianwood I like that this is a multi use product you can use paint pot as primer, this is my favourite eye shadow that I have.

5. Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive it great it gets tacky quickly and I love using this adhesive for my lashes.

 

 

Body

 

 

1. Lady Gaga Fame Fragrance is a black liquid perfume describe on the Sephora website as black like the soul of fame but invisible once airborne. This perfume is a floral, fruity and lustful for little monsters.

2.Vera Wang Princess Fragrance I don't really know how to describe this scent as on the Sephora site there so many words used to describe the smell but I will just say I wear this most out of all of my fragrances.

3. Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Fragrance Mist smells so good I LOVE this smell so much I like to spray this around my room or the house, to bad Victoria's Secret doesn't make candles because if they made this scent into a candle I would buy it.

4. Victoria's Secret Pink Super Soft Pink Bold & Playful Hand & Body Cream I love this lotion it smells amazing to me, I wish I could find this lotion I don't think they make this any more as when ever I'm in a Pink store I always look for this and I can never find it, in store or online and I'm running out.

 

 

Hair

 

1. Julep Elixir is a multi purpose you can use this on your skin and hair.

2. KQC Thermal Shine Spray I haven't had this for a long time and I just got it last month but I really like this it add shine to your hair and its a protection spray for blowing dry and hot styling tools.

3. Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Brush I use this everyday it's the best brush ever!

4. Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Spray I like this I feel like this add shine to your hair and just adds life back into your hair when it's dry looking or dull.

5. Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Spray this is not really a spray it is more of a cream that sprays out and I just rub the product together and put it in my hair, its a good product. I would buy this over and over.

6. TreSumme Styling Putty prefect for getting fly a ways to stay down and you don't need to use a lot of product.
